Happy Gilmore, Adam Sandler, Bad Bunny, and more join Netflix's new golf comedy

Happy Gilmore is making a comeback!

Adam Sandler is teaming up with Netflix for a new golf comedy, and he's bringing some big names with him.

The film, which is still untitled, will also star Bad Bunny, Christopher McDonald and Julie Bowen. Sandler will play Happy Gilmore, the former hockey player who turned to golf in the 1996 film of the same name.

McDonald will reprise his role as Shooter McGavin, Gilmore's rival, and Bowen will play Gilmore's love interest. Bad Bunny's role has not yet been announced.

The film is being directed by Dennis Dugan, who also directed the original Happy Gilmore. The screenplay is being written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy.

Production on the film is expected to begin this summer.
